How to Bake a Blog Post

     Hey guys and welcome back!
Many people of today who have just started blogging do not know how to write a good blog post. When I mean a good post, I mean one that keeps viewers instead of hate mail. Today's example is a cupcake,  you'll soon figure out why.

      1. The General Idea - Recipe
Unless you are some sort of baking genius, (which I certainly am not) you need a recipe. I have dozens of them on a shelf in the kitchen. It gives me the 'idea' of what I want and how I want it to make out. So, to put it this way, you need an idea to write a blog post. No one is going to want to read about your usual day of eating and sleeping. You need to offer them something unusual.

     2. Researching - Letting it Cool
You can skip this step if you made up the subject of your idea, but, if you are doing a tutorial or a report, you need research. You might fend this off because nobody likes extra work, but if you aren't willing to work, you don't deserve a blog, and by letting the cupcake cool, the next step won't end up in a gooey mess.

     3. Writing in Your Own Style - Adding the Icing
This is probably the most simple yet difficult part. If you read a lot, online or traditionally, you notice a major difference in the writing style between authors. At least I do. But that is because every author or stay at home blogger has a writing style. Even you have a writing style, as long as it hasn't been copied.
Let me tell you one more thing though, your style depends on your age. The younger you are, the shorter the sentences and vocabulary. The older you are, the bigger the paragraphs and information.

     4. Edit - The Sprinkles
You can start adding pictures and links at this point. (Unless you don't have any, but I bet you do). I usually close the page if I find a grammatically incorrect post. I have my own mistakes, but it drives me crazy. 'TTYL' and 'IKR' are cliche and make me roll my eyes. So, proofread by reading aloud, check spelling, grammar, and fix any missing sentence, or I will ban you from you blog for a day. ;)

     5. Finishing it Off - Cherry on Top
Now for the final step, hitting the 'post' button. Congratulations! You have baked yourself a blog post. Here, I'll pat you on the back and let you drink some water, but don't forget to click save or publish. (Especially if you have younger siblings). Also, if you want to personalize it, add a signature. It proves your a serious blogger. Or at least it makes them think that you are. Now you can sit back, relax and watch traffic grow!
